Luxury watch inspired by the automative world
Create a high end bronze watch with strong connections to cars and car building.
Having named the watch coach builder it was imperative for us to build the bigger lines of the watch around this. To achieve this we gave the dials a curved finish to reflect the curved shapes of classic hand-built cars. We gave the case a feel of a classic car frame when viewed from the side. The bezel and crown have tilted finish to the teeth to mimic the gear discs in a transmission. We also gave the pushers small grooves to mimic engine pistons. There are numerous other car details found all over the watch. At the same time we wanted the aesthetics to first and foremost be that of a great looking watch; with these details being more subtle and for those who want to dive deeper.
This model is yet to be set into production.
Inspired by our own inspiration we worked hard to create a watch that has a few different strokes. Doing the design due diligence and drawing direct lines to the automotive world. Just take a look at the grooves on the pushers referenced from engine pistons, the angled teeth on bezel and crown borrowed from the gear box.
Looking further the small hat on top of the hands tips its own hat to the same feature on classic instrument panels. The straps diamond pattern we sourced from the leather seats of classic Morgan and Ferraris.
Throughout the design we have the golden rule of this first and foremost doing it´s primary task of being a proper tool watch, and the design working in harmony with this.
